Alexia Borg of DLM NEWS received on the set of Challenges, Alexia Gorin, General Manager of Edufactory. As the spokesperson for the specialist in customized digital training, she explains how to urgently digitize customized training? In an ultra-competitive industry, it is difficult to choose what is done for your company. This is why Edufactory has set up a top-of-the-range “French-style” service offer that has enabled it to stand out by offering a global service and by accompanying its customers at every stage of their training projects.

Is the digital transformation of companies still a challenge?

Transformation Digitale

Alexia Gorin: About half of the companies have not yet made the transition to digital transformation. So, yes, it is still a real issue, and we are seeing it all the more so this year, since digitization allows them to sustain their business. For me, the real issue now is how to launch into the digital transformation and by whom one wishes to be accompanied. Because indeed, professionals are able to take a step back and give the right keys to companies.

Why are companies still hesitating between customization and off-the-shelf training?

Alexia Gorin: These hesitations are especially present on generic subjects where deadlines are short, such as teleworking, remote management, or professional interviews. Companies are wondering; should we go for off-the-shelf content that deploys very quickly, but which is existing content (the company just puts its logo on it). Or should we choose to opt for the advantages of customization; that is to say, create real case studies that reflect the daily situations of employees, or graphics that totally reflect the company’s environment.

At Edufactory, we have set up processes that allow us to speed up creation and optimize costs. We believe it is essential to quickly anchor learners in a sense of belonging to the company.

Who says “tailor-made”, says “extremely expensive”: is this the case?

prix formation sur mesure

Alexia Gorin: Almost the opposite! It’s like comparing renting an apartment with buying or even building your own house. With off-the-shelf training, you rent training content for x number of years, which you pay for all that time for something that will almost never belong to you. On the other hand, with custom-made training modules, you will build your own training project, which will belong to you and suit you. Custom training is both an investment and a guarantee of quality.

Is digital training still innovative today?

Alexia Gorin: Yes, we still have to learn. The EdTech sector is one of the fastest-growing sectors. We saw this year how creative all the players can be, in terms of new formats, new subjects, etc. We’ve seen this year how creative everyone can be.

The challenge today is to listen to the customer to see where they are in terms of digital maturity. The next objective is to offer them formats and solutions that are adapted to their needs. Because what is obsolete for one person may not yet be obsolete for another.

In the current context, what are the main needs of companies?

Alexia Gorin: Digitize! This is possible thanks to the FNE-Formation (National Fund for Employment), but it is not enough! We must not simply push to buy, but help to find the right support. This is why at Edufactory, we have set up a digitization offer in 2, 4, 6 weeks with three important points:

  • Framing the demand
  • Gauge the extent to which the customer trusts us on the freedom we have to propose formats, supports, educational methods.
  • Use our WorkPlace Edtake, which is quite unique; a space dedicated to project management and creation for digital training.

What makes Edufactory different from other EdTech startups?

Logo Edufactory VertAlexia Gorin: We’re the only player that controls the entire value chain, from support to the creation of custom content with platform solutions. That’s what allows us to offer clients recommendations with a macro vision. We want to offer our clients training that is anchored in a global training path that is coherent. For example, we are going to work on Blended Learning courses on the creation of digital training.
